Hands-On Experience
The FAME program provides global-best workforce development through strong technical training, integration of manufacturing core competencies, intensive professional practices and intentional hands-on experience to build the future of the modern manufacturing industry.
In partnership with Reedley College, Central Valley FAME is developing the future manufacturing workforce. The program features a hybrid work/learn model to weave technical knowledge with hands-on experience, allowing employers to recruit and train for their specific operational needs.
Students attend class two days a week and work on site three days a week for 2.5 years, for a total of 4,800 hours of training experience. Graduates demonstrate a mastery in the Manufacturing Core Exercises (MCEs) of Safety Culture, 5S Organizational Management, Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving, and Machine Reliability.
